There are warm indoor installations and outdoor training pools that work all year round. There are free bathing programs for babies from 2 to 6 months old, free “Come, try it” or “safety assessment” sessions for children starting swimming classes all year round, as well as free entry to lagoons or water parks on class days for enrolled swimmers. Sports and physical activity such as swimming are an excellent way to build confidence in children; they give them independence, teach them about success and failure, and shape them to become confident little swimmers.
